Dr. William “Bill” Heiser BIO
Bill hails from Maryland and enjoys eating crabs + watching soccer.
He had a memorable youth soccer career, a 3x All-American (NSCAA Youth + NSCAA High School + Parade Magazine High School) and played for the Usa U-17men’s national soccer team in 1989. He went on to captain the nationally ranked Loyola University Maryland men’s soccer team.
Bill has coached at every level and served on the Board of Directors for the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA). In 2016, he was inducted into the Maryland Soccer Hall of Fame.
for seven years Bill served as the President of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, a Catholic college preparatory high school for boys & girls from Baltimore City. In july 2023, he took on a new role as chief operating officer at anne arundel county public schools.
Bill believes in the power of education & sport to change lives, help families, and improve our communities. he was named Maryland High School Principal of the Year in 2013 by the Maryland Association of Secondary School Principals.
he holds a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education, specializing in Community College Leadership, from Morgan State University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education degree from Loyola University Maryland, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study in Organizational Change from Towson University.
Bill resides in Linthicum, Maryland with his wife Tracy. They have two sons who also enjoy crabs and soccer.
