BRIAN BORING BIO
Brian Boring was born and spent his formative years in the DcMarylandVirginia area. The rich sport culture of DMV instilled in him a deep passion for athletics. Although Brian’s personal pursuits in sports were and continue to be slightly above average, he was always inspired by the values and culture of sports.
As luck would have it, in 2002 Brian joined a small Baltimore start-up - Under Armour - which has since grown to be a global sports powerhouse. Needless to say, Brian is deeply connected to the sports world and the athlete. Simply stated, he loves athletes.
20 years later, Brian is the Vp of Global Creative for UA. he leads the long-term global creative vision for the Brand and drives the development of all Brand creative across UA’s expansive retail and digital footprint, including: strategy, concepts, design, creative experiences, and content creation.
Brian and his team serve as the “Voice of the Brand,” finding innovative ways to tell the Under Armour story to hundreds of millions of athletes around the world while ensuring authenticity within every sport and creative continuity in every region.
During his long tenure with Ua, Brian has had the opportunity to create some of the Brand’s most iconic work, including: “WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE” in 2003, “CLICK-CLACK” in 2006, and "I WILL” which ran throughout 2010-2013. More recently, he has led an award-winning, in-house creative team and world-class creative agencies to drive powerful and culturally relevant brand moments like the 2016 “RULE YOURSELF" campaign with Olympian Michael Phelps and the 2022 “BE THE ATHLETE NO ONE SAW COMING” campaign featuring Tom Brady and Morgan Freeman, encouraging young athletes to no chase someone else’s greatness, but follow their own path. Over the last two decades Brian has had the opportunity to work with world class athletes - Tom Brady, Linsdey Vonn, Stephen Curry, Jordan Spieth, and TAA to name a few.
Brian believes that sports and athletics play a fundamental role in developing people of all ages. he actively volunteers with ‘Under Armour Access to Sport’ philanthropy initiatives and coaches his children‘s school soccer club to help share the power of sports with the next generation.
Brian continues his personal sports journey As an amateur strength and condition coach, he is constantly discovering new ways to push his strength & endurance and sharing that knowledge with anyone who will listen.
