dr. CERI BOWLEY BIO
Ceri has a wide reaching skillset and wealth of experience + knowledge when it comes to developing both athletes and coaches. he currently is the technical advisor to the ecnl & global lead of technical leadership at double pass.
ceri served as a First Team Men’s Coach for the Rangers Football Club where he was tasked by the manager to “help all of us to improve our players, and the players will work closely with him to make sure their development goes faster.”
ceri was previously the head of coaching support for city football group where he focused on coach recruitment + development. at cfg, ceri led the creation and implementation of the ‘City Football Methodology’, which remains in place across all of CFG clubs and is applied in coaching, sport science, performance analysis + talent identification + recruitment, with a focus on individual player and team development.
Ceri also served as the Academy Director of Barry Town united fc and was employed by the Football Association (FA), Swansea City, and Merthy Town FC in coaching capacities, as well as a board director at tennis wales limited.
Ceri earned a PhD in Sport Psychology & Coaching Science, a post graduate certificate in education (PGCE), and both a BSc & a MSc in Coaching science & sports coaching.
as an advisor to the ssf, ceri hopes to help even more youth athletes around the world sharpen their sport + life skills and strengthen their physical + mental well being.
