PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT
In addition to complying with the sustainable sport foundation corp. (“ssf”) Community Code of Conduct rules, I agree to abide by the Parent Code of Conduct rules below:
1. I recognize that, at games and practices, my role is to support my child, their coaches and the officials, and to lead by example by using positive reinforcement.
2. I, with all of the other parents and guardians, am to remain on the opposite side of the team benches for all games/tournaments. I understand that to minimize distractions for players, parents/guardians are to remain off the training field when our teams are training and should not be watching any practices or training from the sidelines.
3. I will not speak to officials or members of the other team.
4. I will encourage and be positive with all players, my child’s coaches/directors, and staff.
5. I will not coach from the sideline, give instructions or tactical information to the players during an event, club, tournament, camp or clinic operated by ssf. (That is what the coaches are for!)
6. If I am concerned with a coaching decision/action, I will first speak with my child to see if there was any communication between my child and the coach. If the issue was not resolved between the player and coach, I will wait 24 hours from the completion of the Event to contact the coach regarding my concerns.
7. I will encourage my child to seek their own answers, to act with confidence and request critical feedback.
8. I am aware that any guest player opportunities, if applicable, must be cleared through the Club Director.
9. I will program my team’s coach and manager contacts in my phone to communicate any late arrivals for training/games/tournaments.
PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
In addition to complying with the sustainable sport foundation corp. (“ssf”) Community Code of Conduct rules, I agree to represent my club positively, whether on the field or off the field, and abide by the Player Code of Conduct rules below:
1. I will communicate with coaches and ssf service providers via text / email / phone / in-person when i have a question or concern.
2. I will come to all Events mentally prepared to compete at the highest level possible, with a mindset to grow and develop every time.
3. I will be ready to start training at the scheduled time – not arriving at start time. I will arrive 10-15 minutes early for training to prepare for the session ahead, using this time to get touches on the ball – not shooting or sitting around.
4. If arrive late, I am responsible for contacting the relevant coach. Upon arrival, I will have the correct gear on and will jog to the correct field.
5. I will wear proper club attire for all training/games and travel.
6. I will wear weather appropriate attire to all Events.
7. I will bring a properly inflated ball to all Events.
8. I will bring an adequate amount of fluids for all Events.
9. I, and not my parents/guardians, am responsible for packing/bringing my own gear to all events, including ALL uniform pieces, regardless of what uniform is assigned for that day, in case my club needs to change due to color conflicts.
10. Once I arrive at an Event, there should be no parent contact until after the Event is over. I will therefore come prepared with all necessary items.
11. If I have a concern, it is my responsibility to communicate with the coach for an open discussion.
12. My conduct, including on social media, represents me as an athlete, my team, and my club. As a ssf youth athlete, I must use good judgment, be positive and respectful when posting and/or commenting on any form of social media. I understand there is a zero-tolerance policy for any offensive, derogatory, exclusive or inappropriate material directed towards a fellow or opposing club member, coach, official, staff member or the general club. Should this zero-tolerance policy be breached, I understand disciplinary action will be taken.
