Costa is an accomplished international footballer (soccer player) with an extremely well respected career that included playing for clubs in africa, poland, czech republic, and india, as well as an international for the zimbabwe national team.

he is currently a scout & athlete-mentor for AC sparta prague, the most successful club in czech republic and where he he earned 203 starts & 9 goals over the course of his 7.5 years playing for the club.

during his professional career at sparta, Costa was a part of the team that won all domestic cups and featured in prestigious European competitions including reaching the quarter finals of the Europa league in 2015/2016. he also had the honor to be the first african player to captain AC Sparta Prague.

costa first began played professional football (soccer) in his home country of Zimbabwe for Amazulu FC in 2005 and then Masvingo United from 2006-2007. he moved to europe in 2008, where he played as a centerback in the top flight polish league for 4.5 years.

costa also had the privilege to represent his country on the zimbabwe national team at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2017 in Gabon, scoring a goal against swaziland.

he believes that Playing soccer on 3 continents (Africa, Europe, Asia) has been an enriching experience that taught him a lot about things outside football, including cultures, languages, and traditions.

costa earned a Master’s degree in Sports Management from the Johan Cruyff Institute, which highlights his passion for Sports on and off the pitch. combined with his passion for education + youth empowerment, after graduating costa launched an educational football youth academy, called Costa Sports Pro Academy (CSPRO Academy) in Zimbabwe, which is a proud founding member of the sustainable sport alliance with the ssf.
