JILLIAN FRAKER BIO

Jillian is a teacher, writer, and avid surfer, who was born and raised on Nantucket Island.

For high school, Jillian attended The Taft School, an elite boarding school in New England where she was a three-sport varsity athlete in Basketball, Field Hockey, and Lacrosse.

After graduating from Taft, Jillian did a post-graduate year at Berkshire School, and was recruited to play field hockey at Trinity College, where she became the starting goalie as a freshman.

Jillian moved back to Nantucket in 2019 after completing her MFA at The New School in New York City, and is currently teaching STEM at Cyrus Peirce Middle School.

Jillian is drawn to SSF's commitment to educating and supporting the whole process for student-athletes. she is thrilled to weave her experience of growing up on Nantucket with her current teaching position in Nantucket’s public school system.
