Kevin is the founder + chief brand officer of MAWKO, a purpose-led strategy studio aligning sport + sustainability + brand development.

during his career, KEVIN HAS helped build global lifestyle & sport brands that include under armour, adidas, sperry, reyn spooner, bonobos, us soccer, and Polo Ralph Lauren to name a few.

career highlights include mawko contracted as the brand studio to reposition UA global football (soccer); kevin’s work + professional profile showcased in ralph lauren stores; and serving as the primary consultant for sperry during their global brand expansion.

in addition to sport brands & orgs, kevin has worked with a list of professional athletes that includes jordan spieth, costa nhamoinesu, and trent alexander-arnold.

kevin is also a Strategic Advisor to sandsi, a Swiss-based org with a mission to “accelerate sustainability in and through global sport”, where he led the creation of the sustainable sport lab to empower youth to create solutions for pressing sustainability challenges.

Additionally kevin is a member of Common Goal, a global ‘football for good’ org and is an active volunteer at the nantucket boys & girls club.

Kevin is tier 2 certified in the Think Kids: Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) approach; has earned a national certification as a youth soccer coach with a goalkeeper specialization; and believes his coaching style is a mash of insight that was taught to him by his own youth coaches.

He earned a Masters in Sports Marketing & Sponsorship from the Johan Cruyff Institute in Barcelona, in addition to multiple professional certificates including football marketing & management S.B.I. Barcelona; brand + business strategy; sustainable business strategy harvard business school (HBS); and business sustainability management cambridge institute of sustainable leadership (CISL).

Kevin grew up in New jersey (a hot-bed for soccer in the ‘80s/9os), then played at loyola university maryland, and afterwards kept his relationships strong with teammates + coaches who continued their soccer / football careers professionally in the US + abroad.

After a decade of traveling from nyc to over 25 countries for work in brand development at ralph lauren, abercrombie & fitch and Jcrew, in 2009 kevin moved to nantucket to start a family & launch a brand strategy studio.

over the next 12 years he made time to coach youth athletes who came to him asking for advice on playing “at the next level”. and in 2021 decided it was time to officially launch the SSF as a youth-sport non-profit, bringing a strong network of peers to support its purpose, both locally & globally.

he will never forget his childhood experience as a ballboy for the Italian National Team during the 1994 usa world cup; has been a goalkeeper since volunteering to be one in a u9 practice; and now masquerades as a striker when he “trains” with his son’s u12 soccer team.
